New Powder Horn Book

POWDER HORNS DOCUMENTS OF HISTORY by Tom Grinslade

This is an incredible book. Tom has dated, and photographed original horns from the 18th and 19th centuries. In addition he gives the history of the owner and maker of the horn.  Many of the men have fought in the Revolutionary War and the author researched the battles they fought.

The Zechariah Horn

The Zechariah Horn is date 1756.  This horn shows the curve that our eBay customers want.  Notice the carving on the neck of the horn.

 

The Thomas Jones Horn belonged to a surgeon who was commissioned to serve in the 2nd Regiment in Ulster County New York.
